Kensington Kindergarten Renovation
The Kensington International School Renovation by DTU Design breathes new life into the campus by harmonizing modern functionality with the school’s original architectural DNA.
The Entrance Hall features a new curvilinear feature wall that elegantly integrates shoe storage and a Co-Kitchen display, accented by custom neon signage. This fluid language extends into the fully remodeled Co-Kitchen, designed as a professional and clean environment for culinary learning.
Architectural transparency is highlighted by a Frameless Glass Pavilion for the new library, flooding the space with natural light. To optimize the footprint, the Toddler Gym was relocated to a second-floor volume that mimics the building’s original geometric forms, allowing the former gym to be converted into a vibrant, airy Canteen enhanced by light-harvesting glass block walls.
By balancing structural mimicry with innovative materials, DTU Design has transformed the school into a high-performance learning environment with lasting aesthetic vitality.
